| I sing, dance, act, read music, choreograph, direct, and teach. In May 2009, I sang at Carnegie Hall in New York City. I was a musical theatre major at CSU Fullerton for 2 years prior to transferring to the Child Development Dept. I taught first grade at a performing arts magnet elementary school in Santa Paula, California, which is located in Ventura County for 9 years. I also worked as a performer at Disneyland in their Parades & Entertainment Dept. for 5 years and taught at a dance studio in Texas while my husband was stationed there in the Army. I sang for 2 years with the OHS Chamber Singers where we sang at Angel Stadium, The Crystal Cathedral, etc. I traveled to Europe to sing with them at Notre Dame in Paris, Albert Hall in London, and other well known venues. For 3 years I sang with a local Ventura County singing group entitled "The Half Notes." (Formerly known as "Les Classeeks.") I taught various arts-based classes during the twice yearly magnet classes (dancing, singing, acting, etc.)at my school site, as well as directed and choreographed my grade level's yearly performance for 9 years. I am an Arts Educator and member of TCAP (The California Arts Project). I am a Member of AAHPERD (American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance). I subscribe to The Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance, the American Theatre Magazine, Dance Spirit Magazine, Dance Teacher, and other various arts-related journals & magazines. I was a member of the City of Fillmore’s Film Commission for 9 years, and I am a member of The Sespe Players, Inc., a theatre group in Fillmore, California. I currently teach elementary school during the day incorporating dancing, singing and acting into the curriculum. In the afternoons and evenings I teach dance through my choreography to Santa Paula High School students in the Theatre Team as well as for the Community Theatre group, Sespe Players, in Fillmore as needed. I am also working on dramatic activities for the youth group at Faith Community Church in Fillmore and sometimes sing with the worship team to lead services.
